The Forgotten Woman Vision 2025

What we are doing and asking God for in 2025

It’s incredible to think that 2024 is coming to a close, and we are getting ready to embark on a new year. This is always a great time to evaluate, reevaluate, and communicate with those who pray for us and support us in life and ministry.

Most of you know that the Forgotten Woman Ministries were born out of my personal experiences and the desire for God to use my life in whatever way He sees fit. My heart for ministry to women and young people is something that God placed within me as a young woman – during college and then into my life as a wife and mother. Teaching young people in church settings began when I was just a teen, ministry to women began in my early 20’s and expanded into a travel/speaking ministry when I was widowed at the age of 23. God continued to open doors over the years as home Bible studies continued, then group women’s Bible studies became a normal part of life.

Today, I find myself in awe of what God is allowing me to be a part of in twice-weekly Bible studies, online counseling with women far and near, in-person counseling, Post Abortion Studies, GriefShare meetings, regular Ladies’ Nights, my Blog writing, and the work on several books that are in process.

My personal experiences include places I would never choose: widowhood, abuse, divorce, single parenting, parenting many, homeschooling, miscarriage, parenting special needs and so much more. It is my desire that in every situation of my life, I learn and live with my eyes and heart wide open to where I can come alongside and help others.

Tranquility is a physical building where the ministries of The Forgotten Woman take place locally. The in-person Bible studies are held there, the GriefShare meetings are held there, Biblical counseling takes place there and weekly Ladies’ Nights as well as special scheduled ladies’ nights take place there. We minister through special events to abused and hurting women, to teen moms, to single moms, to weary moms, to the elderly, and to every woman who needs to spend an evening feeling that she is loved and valued. We do this through hands-on care: foot washing, shampoo and head massage and cleansing facials.

All of the above are currently taking place at Tranquility and through The Forgotten Woman Ministries. Our vision for 2025 is to continue in each of these endeavors and grow – we will be adding a second GriefShare meeting each week during the day. (We currently have one in the evenings) I am expanding the weekly Forgiveness Study and putting it into a booklet form to be able to share. Our care package ministry to service members is another thing that has taken a back seat for the past year that we would like to be able to bring back in full swing. We are also looking to get into more nursing homes in the year 2025 to do our foot washing for those who cannot get out to come to us.

Ladies’ Nights and special events are taken care of by volunteers who have a heart for others. We are always grateful for those who want to be a part of this special team of ladies. Reach out to me if you would like to learn more! The expenses of this ministry within Tranquility are about $2000 a month. This covers rent, products, and materials needed to serve our people. We are always grateful to anyone who would like to be a part of these ministries by giving to help us cover these expenses. Thank you for your prayers and for your consideration.
